Obama's Speech Jan 20th.

This is by far one of the best Inauguration Speech made by any of the Presidents of the US.

Text of President Barack Obama's inaugural address on Tuesday, as delivered.
OBAMA: My fellow citizens:
I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.
Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because we the people have remained faithful to the ideals of our forebears, and true to our founding documents.
So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.
That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.
These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land — a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.
Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America — they will be met.
On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.
On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.
We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.
In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is never a given. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of shortcuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted — for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things — some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.
For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and traveled across oceans in search of a new life.
For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and plowed the hard earth.
For us, they fought and died, in places like Concord and Gettysburg; Normandy and Khe Sanh.
Time and again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.
This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions — that time has surely passed. Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.
For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act — not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. All this we will do.
Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions — who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. Their memories are short. For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage.
What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them — that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end. Those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account — to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day — because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.
Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched, but this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control — and that a nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous. The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our gross domestic product, but on the reach of our prosperity; on our ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart — not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good.
As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our founding fathers ... our found fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake. And so to all the other peoples and governments who are watching today, from the grandest capitals to the small village where my father was born: know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more.
Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.
We are the keepers of this legacy. Guided by these principles once more, we can meet those new threats that demand even greater effort — even greater cooperation and understanding between nations. We will begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its people, and forge a hard-earned peace in Afghanistan. With old friends and former foes, we will work tirelessly to lessen the nuclear threat, and roll back the specter of a warming planet. We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you.
For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus — and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.
To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West — know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.
To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to the suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it.
As we consider the road that unfolds before us, we remember with humble gratitude those brave Americans who, at this very hour, patrol far-off deserts and distant mountains. They have something to tell us, just as the fallen heroes who lie in Arlington whisper through the ages. We honor them not only because they are guardians of our liberty, but because they embody the spirit of service; a willingness to find meaning in something greater than themselves. And yet, at this moment — a moment that will define a generation — it is precisely this spirit that must inhabit us all.
For as much as government can do and must do, it is ultimately the faith and determination of the American people upon which this nation relies. It is the kindness to take in a stranger when the levees break, the selflessness of workers who would rather cut their hours than see a friend lose their job which sees us through our darkest hours. It is the firefighter's courage to storm a stairway filled with smoke, but also a parent's willingness to nurture a child, that finally decides our fate.
Our challenges may be new. The instruments with which we meet them may be new. But those values upon which our success depends — hard work and honesty, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and patriotism — these things are old. These things are true. They have been the quiet force of progress throughout our history. What is demanded then is a return to these truths. What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility — a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task.
This is the price and the promise of citizenship.
This is the source of our confidence — the knowledge that God calls on us to shape an uncertain destiny.
This is the meaning of our liberty and our creed — why men and women and children of every race and every faith can join in celebration across this magnificent Mall, and why a man whose father less than sixty years ago might not have been served at a local restaurant can now stand before you to take a most sacred oath.
So let us mark this day with remembrance, of who we are and how far we have traveled. In the year of America's birth, in the coldest of months, a small band of patriots huddled by dying campfires on the shores of an icy river. The capital was abandoned. The enemy was advancing. The snow was stained with blood. At a moment when the outcome of our revolution was most in doubt, the father of our nation ordered these words be read to the people:
"Let it be told to the future world ... that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive...that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet (it)."
America, in the face of our common dangers, in this winter of our hardship, let us remember these timeless words. With hope and virtue, let us brave once more the icy currents, and endure what storms may come. Let it be said by our children's children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.
Thank you. God bless you. And God bless the United States of America.

Kanye West is an Arrogant A-hole

Kanye came out of left field in the hip hop game. I credit him with being very talented. He's an excellent producer. He raps about positive stuff. He may even give back to the community. I really don't know. He takes chances in his music. I like that. Kanye was incredible when he first came out. I even bought his first album which is a rare thing for me.

All his talent now is overshadowed by his indeterminable arrogance. I believe in self confidence and self worth, but Kanye takes it to the max. Who does he think he is? I hate to have seen him as a child. I admire his late mother's patience. Me? I don't have patience for people like Kanye. He must think the world owes him something.

Is this arrogance the result of not having a father growing up? I hope not. However, I think he was extremely spoiled growing up. He got everything his heart desired. Maybe that's why he thinks the world should give him all he wants. I know the music business is a hard business. No business is easy. You have to work really hard and have a great team around you for you to be successful in this industry. He works hard. I get that. But the arrogance I don't get.

Kanye is nominated for 5 grammy awards. He receives 4 of them. Apparently the industry likes his music and so does his fans. Why does Kanye have a hissy fit and/or tantrum? He thinks he should get all 5 awards. Kanye come on. Get over it. Be happy with the 4 you have gotten. Not many artists get 4 grammies; much less a rap artist.

Kanye is nominated for world music award. Hey Kanye, not only does the US listen to your music, so does the whole world. However, he does not get the award. Some foreign artist gets it. Kanye storms on stage while the winner is giving his/her acceptance speech and snatches the microphone. He tells the world that he doesn't disrespect the winner but he himself should have won the award. He went and shown the world his ass. How dare he interrupt someone elses speech. He's rude .

Kanye is given a whole room to perform at the MTV Video music awards. He performed 2 to 3 songs for the night, on air. After the show is over he complains about not getting to perform on the main stage. He complains how Timbaland and Justin performed in their own room and then gets to perform on main stage. He has to notice that Timbaland produces and is on a lot of records. It was Nelly Furtado's piece that they came to main stage for. And all 3 are in songs together. Is that jealousy, I detect? So when he bitches, he says he'll never work with MTV again. Okay just make an ass of yourself, Kanye. MTV pretty much controls popular sway with fans. Who's going to show his videos? BET? BET don't have the same clout MTV does. Plus BET doesn't play many videos. He's ignorant that he can command presence without the help of MTV.

He claims he's going to go down in history as the greatest MC ever to hold a mic. Really? Says who? All rappers have bravao saying they are the best MC ever, but in reality they know they are not. It's all an act. Kanye isn't acting. I still say he's very talented. He's different from other rappers so he does stand apart. He has critical acclaim and grammies to prove he's a great artist. But the best ever? Come on? As I say, you may be great right now but there will always be someone greater. Be realistic Kanye. Stop living in a fantasy world.

During the release of his current album he states that he hates rap and when he does rap he has to get into a grimy place mentally. He came out as a rap artist. Come on. Now he wants to villafy what he made money off of. That is a slap in the face to his fans and to his industry people. I know he wanted to get into this rap thing so badly that he worked hard to get into it. Why slap the hand that feeds you? We know the state of rap music is in the gutter. Help bring back rap instead. He wants to try other genres out there. Go ahead. No one is stopping him. Just don't insult but remember what got him in the doors to success in the music business.

The last point, I promise, is his new comment he made recently. He doesn't want to be famous anymore. He wants to be low key like Bjork commanding a dedicated small fan base. He wants this because he wants to pose nude. Who wants to see him nude? Kanye, how are you going to be greatest MC ever without being famous? Who is he without fame? Where's his money coming from? Who spends their money on albums? Who purchases his merchandise? The fans. They make you and they can break you. How is he going to go down in history as the greatest MC ever? I understand the paparazzi all in his business. They shouldn't be in people's business like that anyway. However, that's a another story for another blog. Once you want to be in the public eye, you have to sacrafice so privacy. It's part of the job. Embrace it. Try to keep your private life private. Many celebrities who are more popular than Kanye manages to keep their lives private. He should seek their advice. Stop talking bullshit.

Kanye is very interesting. He may do all of this for attention or publicity. I really hope he does. I wonder how long before his fans stop buying his music, tickets to his concerts or purchase his merchandise because of his arrogance. I persoonally would not put up with him. I know his new album is really good. I am not going to purchase it because I don't want to support an arrogant ass. I won't even download it for free. That's my choice. I just hope he adjusts his attitude before he grows old and alone. No decent women will stand for his attitude. He will just have to deal with the gold-diggers. They will put up with anything as long as the money is flowing. I wish him the best in his career.

Dream - The Obamas

After finding out that Obama's grandmother passed away. I call the hotline to give the Obama's my condolences. It's 6 am in the morning the Monday before election. The doorbell rang half an hour later. I run get the door in my robe. At the door, it's Michelle Obama. I'm shocked to silence. She asks if I can let her in. That shakes me out of my stupor. I let her in. I then ask her where is her husband. She said he's on his way. I can't believe this!! The Obama's in my house! I excuse myself after I make Michelle comfortable in the kitchen.

I run upstairs to change into a good outfit. Miraclously my friend Crystal is upstairs helping me find an outfit. We found the perfect outfit for me. She was helping me zip up a shirt in the vack. Then she started pinching my back fat. That hurt. Ii screeched. Then asked her what her problem is. She didn't give me an answer and finished zipping me up. Michelle comes upstairs to find out why I was screaming. I told her. She proceeds to tell Crystal why she was wrong and that as African American we are supposed to help and lift up our sisters and not tear them down. Crystal gets mad and leaves.

Michelle then walks with me back downstairs. In my kitchen, Obama is sitting down waiting. I walk over and shake his hand. He tells me to sit down next to him. He proceeds to tell me that we as African Americans have to push ourselves. We have to get educated. We need to get careers, not jobs. Then he gives me a problem solving tet.

I realized that it was time to go work. Michelle gives me a ride to work and she joins me at work. She talks to everyone at the job. I go home with her. When we reached my house, there's a big what to do going on. We enter in the house. It's in a frenzy. We are waiting for tye election results. It's my family and the Obama family together. We are in a quiet statis while we wait. The verdict is announced. OBAMA IS THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

I woke up. This is how I know he's going to win. I don't dream politics. I feel it in my bones he's going to.

The Most Important Day.

Today I wake up with so much emotion that I can hardly keep from crying. History will be made. I feel it down to my bones. This election is the most important election since I've been born. This wonderful man Obama is going to become our president. He has what it takes plus more. He's determined and sincere in getting America turned around and head in a better direction than it was going. He is for change. He is for the people, all people. This is not a color election or a minority election. This is an election to change the world.

This election will also force White America to look at African Americans as their equal. They cannot assume that we are not intelligent enough any longer. They cannot say we are uneducated. They have to see us as human beings.

Our youth tend to forget what our forefathers and mothers had to struggle against just to get us this far. They want to set us back with all the violence and idiocy. Our youth are killing of our youth for random bullshit. Our young women don't aspire to do anything but become vidoe ho's or house wives to professional athletes/celebrities. We need somehow to wake them u. Give them inspiration to work hard. Study hard and become a viable person in society.

Our man Obama is the better African American man who has attempted (and going to achieve) running for president. Sharpton would never become president. Why? He will make everything a race issue. Jackson would never be president. Why? He's wishy washy and under the take. He'll also make everything a race issue. Both would just dwell on how African Americans were treated in the past and current. They wouldn't think of the future. They don't want to be president for the benefit of the whole USA. They had their own agendas and the people saw that.

Obama is here for the US not just for the African American community. He didn't run his campaign on race. He ran them on issues and what we as Americans need to change in order to become better. The whole world wants Obama as president. They don't want another 4 years of Bush policies.

We are awaiting the change of history and the new emergence of a strong nation. Go OBAMA.

Dream - The Family Business

On the campus of CSU, Darren was compared to a multitude of legendary NFL runningbacks. However, he never seemed to be able to leave the street alone. He came from the ghetto like a lot of urban youth. He keeps finding himself on the wrong side of the law. That is where I come in. I am a 3rd year law student at the graduate school at CSU. I have been trying cases since I was a 1st year student and I have won them all. I was asked by my family to make sure that Darren stays out of prison and continue playing football. I don't know how much longer that CSU execs are going to put up with his stupidity. But you know how it is. He's the star football player. He's bringing popularity and money to the school so he gets away with a lot.

Thursday night his luck ran out and my job got a lot more complicated. After a very popular grudge match game with UCB, Darren was in the locker room by himself. The someone weilding a knife attacked him. The cut both of his achilles. They knew they were going to ruin his life by doing this. Why am I involved in this case and not the district attorney? Well I am acting like a private detective for my family and also supplying the DA with evidence. I am also representing Darren in the case to sue the alleged perpetrators. He just lost a livelyhood that was going to bring him millions.

As I am going to classes and investigating and was being watched. By whom I don't care. As long as they don't interfere with me. No one knows who I really am. Most who know me, know that I am from NY and I don't tolerate a lot of bullshit. That's just me. A true New Yorker by heart. I live moderately. I have an apartment of campus my family pays for. So I really have too many expenses.

One night I was driving my blue Acura (my favorite car) and I ended up on campus to stop at the ATM at the student union. When I parked my car and got out, there was this old car that reminded me of te old school gremilin car just idling in the lane not 3 cars lengths from my car. There were 2 guys in there. I made a mental note of the license plate. As I started my way towards the union, the guy in the passenger seat gets out with something in his hand that looks like a pointed tuning fork. He starts following me. I give him one of my stern looks. The don't fuck with me look. He then starts to talk to me. What the hell?

"Are you too rude to say hello when you look at someone?" he states as he got closer to me. I recognize his face.
"I looked at you right. So be happy that I acknowledged you." I respond, still walking.
"Well don't you think you need to verbally acknowledge people." he asks.
"Why should I? If I looked at you." I respond, tired of the conversation.
"Well I don't hold that to be true." he says.
"Look I'm a NYer. We don't have time to stand around having a conversation with every Tom, Dick or Harry. We have shit to do. And now you are holding up my time." I state, as a matter of fact.
"You know I can hurt you and your car with this" he states, holding up the tuning fork looking thing.
"I said yeah but if you do you would be wiped off of the face of the earth." I respond nonchalantly.
"Yeah right. Who do you know that powerful? I work for the most powerful man in Cali" he boasts.
"Congratulations. When you are done wasting my time, look up the name, Cardoso" I respond and walked off.
"Who's Cardoso?" he yells at me.
"My family. Ask your boy when you get back to your car." I tell him the wave my hand to dismiss him.

He runs back to his friend and noticed that he already keyed my car. He then asked his friend who Cardoso is. The guy looked at him like he lost his mind. He said that Cardoso family is the most powerful in the whole US. Some say that they have influence outside US too. Then he asks why. The guy said that I said my family was Cardoso. He said that I may not be. I may be using the name to scare us off. We'll stick aound to see what happens.

I head back to my car from the atm. My car is totally keyed up. I curse out loud. I then get on the cell. I call my father. Some random thug answers. I tell him to put my father on. I tell him what happened. I gave him the license plate number on the guys' car. He said he'll take care of it. He also tells me to take the car to a certain garage. I said I wasn't going to pay for the repair. I want the money from the guys. He said said he'll wire the money from their accjount out when they get the guys names. I said cool. I hop in my car and leave.

The guys overhear my conversation.
"She's knows your license plate number" the guy in passenger seat exclaims.
"Shit! What should we do?" guy in driver's seat asks.
"Should we tell the boss?" passenger guys returns another question.
"I don't know. This Cardoso guy is bigger than the boss. He might kill us for getting into this trouble if we tell him." driver guy responds.
"Let's get out of here." passenger guy suggests.

Just as they get off of campus they notice a car following them. It had tinted windows. They move to one side of the car and roll down the window. The guys notice a guy that looked like The Cardoso girl. The guy raises a bazooka and fires into the car.

I woke up just then. But this was a very interesting dream.

A Better Way To Solve US Financial Bail Out Plan

This was sent by my coworker. I really believe this is a great plan.

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I*m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let*s assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a 'We Deserve It Dividend'.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let*s assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that every adult
18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has
$595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage * housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans * what a great boost to new grads Put away money for college * it*ll be there Save in a bank * create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car * create jobs
Invest in the market * capital drives growth Pay for your parent*s medical insurance * health care improves Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean * or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we*re going to re-distribute wealth let*s really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( *vote buy* ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.

If we*re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let*s bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG * liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sect
or bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here*s my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn*t.

Sure it*s a crazy idea that can *never work.* But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion We Deserve It Dividend more than the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC .

And remember, The Family plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because
$25.5 Billion is returned instantly in 20taxes to Uncle Sam.

NC Here I Come?

Well I came to Greensboro NC this weekend to spend time with my ex & good friend Mel. He's always complaining that I don't visit. The last time he came to NY, my boyfriend at the time wanted to spend the weekend with me. We broke up that weekend too & I didn't get to see Mel. Which sucked. I enjoy Mel a lot. He's the only guy I contemplated moving to NC for.

Anyway, I don't know why I came. He hardly has time to spend with me. And when he does come, he's tired. I've been here since Thurs late night. We've only slept together twice. I am used to having 3 to 4 rounds a day.

I'm a bit disappointed though. I want to spend more time with him. I know he has his kids to look after. Their momma is here also. She can look after them for one weekend. This is a reason why I don't want to mess with men who have children. But nowadays that's hard to find. Men can't seem to keep their seed from impregnating women. And women do not know anything about condomns or birth control. Anyway, I digress.

Granted Mel works late night. 10:30 pm to 7 am or so. He could just come straight to the hotel from work. Instead, he goes home, sleeps and then goes to work out. I don't get to see him until 1 to 2 pm. Then he's tired from working out.

I miss my Mel from NY. I don't think I will get him back. Is it time for me to give up on him? I could have had more fun in NY this weekend. I could've went to the beach.

Well I'm tired of bitching. But I do have a lot to think about. I don't know why I'm hung up on him. I will have to dig deep in my head as to why. That's another blog to come.

Dream - I'm The Invisible Pregnant Woman!!!

It has been 1.5 years the Light have been together. Light is Japanese but he looks like a mixture of my ex-boyfriend Anthony (Domincan) and the wrestler now actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Half Samoan & half Black). I missed my period and went to the doctor. I find out I am pregnant. I immediately tell him. Of course he didn't take it very well. He was angry to say the least. He walked out on me when I told him.

Couple days later he comes by. He says he doesn't want any children and he will not be a part of this. Well, that really pissed me off. What about the time we've been together? Anyway, I tell him fine. I take keys away from him and tell him I don't ever want to see him again. He wanted to still date though. He's funny. I looked at him and told him "HELL" no.

Trying to uplift my feelings, my brother takes me on a walk near an industrial port. There were metal bridges, huge oil tankers and tractor trailers. We walked passed a tractor trailer that looked as if it were going to tip over. My brother and I sped up walking so we wouldn't be in the way if it did tip over. Just as we thought we cleared enough roombetween the trailer and ourselves, the trailer tips over. The contents in the back of the trailer didn't miss us. We got splashed with some smelly liquid. Grossed out, my brother and I ran home to shower.

That night during dinner we start showing signs of unusualness. Everytime my brother passed me something it was always scalding. Everytime I try to pass him something he doen't see anything. We then end up watching a boxing match. My brother's favorite sport. He was standing up imitating one of bth boxers, he made a punch motion and a ball of fire came out. I duck out the way just in time. He stood frozen in shock and I scream "What the -uck!" My brother asks me what the hell just happened. I said "You shot fire from your hands."
He just mutters "oh shit" over and over again.

I begin to worry now. I was hit by the same liquid. I was worried I'd lose my baby. I didn't want to miscarry. Light would just love that. I started to panic. I just wanted to disappear. That's how I feel when I stressed, nervous or not myself. Next you know my brother starts screaming for me. I scream back saying why are you screaming. I'm in the room with you. He says that I am not. I say that's impossible because I have been standing by the coffee table. I move and hit my knee on the coffee table. I scream of course. I look up from rubbing my knee and my brother is staring at me like I was a ghost. He said I was invisible. I said yeah right. Then I must went invisible again because my brother start asking me where I am. I walk up to him and touched his shoulder. He nearly leapt throught he ceiling. I run to the bathroom to look in the mirror. I was aghast when I couldn't see my own reflection.

My brother and I settled down about our powers. We started to think what we could do with them. We needed to use them for something good. But my brother agreed with me that I should go to my doctor to see if my baby is ok.

I went to the doctor saying I was in an accident and I wanted to make sure the baby was okay. The doctor tells me that the baby was looking fine. He says everything looks fine. I should be able to carry to term without any complications. That was great to hear.

With positive news from the doctor I head home. I tell my brother that we should help the police capture violent criminals. He agrees. We work with the police until I was 7 months pregnant.

The day after my last day helping the police, my family decided to have a party. I do not know what the party is celebrating, but I'm having a great time. That is until my ex showed up. I don't know how he knew that imy family was gathering. He tells me that hed is now interested in being a father to my child. I tell him I'm not interested in him being the father. My child doesn't need a fickle father. He insists he won't and he'll be a steady regular in our child's life. He then asks if he can feel my tummy. I said okay.

When he touched my stomach the first time, my baby moved abruptly and drastically. Before he touched me, she was laying down with her head to my left side, her back towards the ground and he feet to my right side. When he touched she moved to where her back is now up facing by breasts. I told him to not touch my stomach anymore. She reacts too violent. He doesn't listen to me and he touches my stomach again. This time she moves dratically again and nearly knocks me down. Her head is now towards my spine and her bottom is poking out. This is very uncomfortable. I warn him again not to touch my stomachand once again he doesn't listen. This time she has her bottom towards my upper spine and her head nearly poking out my stomach. I felt as if the child was going to bust through my stomach.

I turn andwalk away from my ex while holding my stomach, making sured she's secure. I head towards my sister. She asks me what was the matter. I explain it to her. She said she had a trick that her OB/GYN gave her when she was pregnant with my niece Camille. She said Camille would react wildly too. She had me lay down on the bed. I don't know where the bed came from all of a sudden. I lay back and expose my stomach. My sister starts to tape around my stomach with tape that looks like masking tape but is stronger.

While she was taping my tummy, my niece asks me what am I going to name my baby. I tell her I'm not sure. She said that she has a temporary name for me. So I said let me hear it. She said I should name her "Earring". I said I can't name her a piece of jewelry. I tell her I may name her Raiku. She said that was a Japanese name. I said yeah it is. She's half Japanese so her first name will reflect it because she's not going to have her father's last name. Then my niece asks me if I know what special powers my baby is going to have since I have special powers. I said I really don't know. So she had me wondering that as I woke up to reality.

Kappa Alpha Psi a.k.a. Black Gangsters

Kappa Alpha Psi was created in 1911 at an all White University in Indiana. It was born out of the need to protect themselves from the Whites who were abusing & killing them. This fraternity is now all over the country in multiple colleges and universities. Joining a fraternity is supposed to instill brotherhood amongst each other.

Today, some chapters still hold strong to history. The some are a few. It seems that street gangs mentality has entered into the fraternities. Pledging consistes of getting jumped. The same way you get into gangs.

My brother was joining a chapter of KAP on the campus of CSU East Bay. They whooped until he had to go to the hospital. After that he dropped the line. He didn't want to be a part of the fraternity after that. However, he still maintained somewhat of a friendship with some members who were pledging with him. A year later, he had still maintained the friendship. But then this year gang mentality reared it's ugly head.

One of his KAP friends was talking to my brother. Then he asked my brother for some assistance (financial). My brother told him he couldn't help him because he needs some financial assistance of his own. He was barely making it at all. My brother turned and walked away. That was the beginning of the end. The guy start screaming, "don't you dare turn your back on me!" From that day on, they shadowed my brother. Threatened his life. Broke into his apartment to prove they have access to him at any point of time. He walks down the street, they yell out that they are going to kill him. I had to fly him home immediately. His life is more important.

When my brother came home, we sat down to discuss what the KAP fraternity is supposed to do for him and discussed what had happened. He tells me that KAP was supposed to build comradry and brotherhood. However there are rules. You must never turn your back on a brother. That sounds like some gangster stupidity. My brother was not even a member of the fraternity. That rule should not have anything to do with him. Yes I am very passionate about this because they have tried to take my brother's life.

This is just my way of warning the world of the dangers of fraternities and sororities in colleges. Is it really necessary to join a group that's going to abuse you in order to become a member?

I Know When I'm Licked

I don't know why I put myself out there. I start hanging with the guy I previously discussed. I think I may have started to like him more than I should. He's still married and he has a child. I understand his circumstances. I am a bit too understanding. This is the sitch.

Friday, I invited him to spend the weekend with me if he wasn't busy. He said it was cool & he didn't have any other plans. Saturday arrives, haven't heard from him until I called him around 2 pm. He said he was going to call me. He had his daughter but he was going to come later in the evening. Later in the evening came & left with no word from him. I cooked dinner for him. I do not cook for people too often. I understand that his daughter is his priority, but he could have called and said that he couldn't make it.

Now, today is Sunday, haven't heard from him at all. No phone calls. Nothing. I ended up doing consulting work today. And I was able to catch up on some personal projects yesterday. Well at least things were accomplished this weekend.

I just don't know why I let people disappoint me. Maybe I really need to give people the same that they give me. Maybe he was trying to show me something. I may also be reading too much into this. I just get bothered when people are thoughtless of others.
